Function: This is an excellent alternative to the old school ball aspirators sold everywhere. The tube allows you to suck the mucus out of your babies nose with as much pressure/suction as desired. It helps your little one breath easier when troubled with sinus congestions.

Pros: The design of this aspirator is excellent. It is easy to clean, simply take the device apart and rinse it with warm water. It has a helpful filter to prevent anyone from inhaling any undesirable substance when clearing the baby's nose.

Cons: The cost is the major back draw. It is significantly more expensive than any other aspirator in the drug store - though, well worth the money, if you ask me. Also the filters, though you receive 5 additional replacements, need to be replaced after virtually every use. This is also an additional cost that must be considered. It is also recommended that replacements be purchased when you have a sick one ailing at home - so you aren't left with anything unpleasant in your mouth.

Overall: I have recommended and raved about this aspirator to all my fellow moms. It is excellent. The design is good and easy to use and it has helped my daughter. She cries whenever I use it on her, but I think it is more starting than anything else. She doesn't seemed scared by it, because when she sees it, she smiles and starts playing with it. It is one of those things that is necessary for any mom arsinal.
